St. Louis County prosecutors push to charge more cases in which health care workers are victims

Since taking office, I’ve made it a priority to protect those who dedicate their lives to caring for our community. Health care workers should never have to accept being assaulted as “part of the job.” That’s why we launched a dedicated hospital violence unit in St. Louis County, reviewing dozens of cases to ensure these assaults are taken seriously. We’re pushing to make assaults against health care workers a felony no matter where they work, and working with lawmakers to make sure every attack is met with the justice it deserves.
